What is the 2023 Gatton CNC Christmas Challenge? There are a lot of online challenges for the woodworking community but most, if not all, do not allow you to make any part of your project using a CNC machine. In 2016 I decided that it was time for a challenge that is specifically for the hobby CNC community. I created the Gatton CNC Christmas Challenge in 2016 and it has been a big hit the past several years. To enter is really easy. Simply create a short video (minimum five minutes) of you and your CNC making a Christmas themed project and upload it to your YouTube channel. Send me the link to your video using the form below and it will be added to the 2023 Gatton CNC Christmas Challenge. You will then be entered for a chance to win some great prizes. What’s that you say? You don’t have a video camera. No problem. You can use your smartphone to shoot the video and take still photos. As in past Gatton CNC Christmas Challenges it is all about the quality and spirit of the Christmas project not the quality of the video. If you need some inspiration for a project check out the links below to watch videos from the previous Gatton CNC Christmas Challenges. Please see the rules for entering the challenge below. Please keep in mind this is a Christmas challenge not an “Xmas” challenge so be mindful of that when submitting your entry. Any project submitted as an “Xmas Challenge” will not be accepted.

Rules for the 20233 Gatton CNC Christmas Challenge
Your project must have a Christmas Theme. For ideas for a project take a look at some of the previous year’s videos in the playlists listed above.
The 2023 Gatton CNC Christmas Challenge will officially begin on November 24th (Black Friday) and end on December 24th at 11:59 PM EST. No Exceptions! Remember that doesn't mean you can't go ahead and begin working on your project before November 26th. You must use your CNC machine to make the majority of the project. The CNC machine can be a CNC router, CNC laser, or a CNC 3D printer, or a combination of any of them.
Produce a short video (at least 5 minutes long but not longer than 10 minutes) of your Christmas themed project made with your CNC and upload it to your YouTube channel. Important: The title of the video must be 2023 Gatton CNC Christmas Challenge.
Once your video is uploaded to YouTube send an email to davegatton@att.net using the form below with the words 2023 Gatton CNC Christmas Challenge in the subject line.
In the body of the email include the link to the video and also include your name, address, and phone number.
This challenge is open to everyone (not just people in the US) and you can enter as many projects as you want as long as they are each in a separate video.
I will be doing a YouTube Livestream to show all the entries on Saturday January 6, 2023 @ 9PM EST.
